Because a holiday should simply be great!

The Nijmegen area is not the only place where countless Romans left their marks. Some German towns are well-worth visiting and not far from Bungalowpark Molendal! Within half an hour you are in Xanten town centre.

Once a flourishing Roman town, these days it is popular because of the expertly restored town centre and the remnants from the Roman era, displayed in the largest archaeological open-air museum in Germany - for an inspiring view on Roman history. Just across the border lies the friendly town of Kleve, situated on the slope of a lateral moraine from the ice age, bounding the valley of the river Rhine. This is why part of Kleve is very hilly. Mainly known as an age-old place of pilgrimage, Kevelaer is another town close to the border. A picture of the Virgin Mary, which is considered to be miraculous, has been worshipped here since 1642. Pilgrims still visit the comforting statue ′Consolatrix Afflictorum′. Art lovers can enjoy themselves in Museum Schloß Moyland in Bedburg Hau, which houses, among other things, the collection of early art works by Joseph Beuys.
