There is plenty to do for young families! In the vicinity you will find lakes, sandy beaches, woods, and also a petting farm and a number of great playgrounds (including indoor ones).

Bungalowpark Molendal is situated only 50 metres from De Mookerplas recreation area. There is a separate sandy beach called De Grote Siep, especially for children. Behind and beside the beaches are large sunbathing areas and well-shaded spots for younger children. Older children can enjoy themselves on the lake, surfing, canoeing and sailing.
Set on the eastern outskirts of the town of Wijchen in a magnificent part of a scenic area full of trees and little sand dunes, Speeltuin De Blije Dries is a great playground with, among other things, a climbing & survival course, trampolines, a midget golf course and a small pool. It is a fantastic day out for the kids for only 2.50 euros per person.
A great place for the under 6’s, ′Het Hof van Kaatje′ recreation farm - at 20 kilometres from Plasmolen - is also situated in Wijchen. Children can enjoy themselves on bouncy castles or in sandpits with taps. There is a roundabout with tractors and bicycles and the children can feed the chickens, goats and piglets themselves!

In the heart of the woods near Nijmegen lies Speeltuin de Leemkuil. There is a partially underground slide, a ′loose-the-way-castle′, a sand and water play area and a train on a real railway! De Leemkuil is an adventurous playground for children of all ages, but particularly for those aged 6-12.
For more spectacular rides go to Park Tivoli in Berg en Dal, the largest amusement park in the area, boasting a real roller coaster, dodgem cars and dodgem boats, a super slide bouncy castle, a haunted house and a mini Ferris wheel.
Of course rainy days cannot be avoided, in which case younger children can enjoy themselves in Dippie Doe in Cuijk. Dippie Doe is a large indoor playground with, among other things, a children’s fairground, dodgems, merry-go-rounds and a special soft play corner for the very young.
